Seriously -- what is it?

I got home from church and had lunch with the family. Kids are napping. Life is good.
So what is going on here? It is noon and this site has almost 7,000 hits on a Sunday. That is strage. Their is no way we don't go well over 10,000 by the end of the day.
What are you people looking at? Is it the pink shorts on Woodland Journal? Was the Sac Bee opinion piece offensive to someone?
I really need to learn more about website traffic. Somethings is certainly going on here.

New Trivia

Webmaster Bob will soon update the Yolo County trivia. This week should be a little easier.
Note: Duane Chamberlain let me have it. He was not actually born in Orange County. He was born in Venice Beach in Los Angeles. Imagine that. He then moved to Orange County. So the trivia board was wrong a couple weeks ago.

Busy Wednesday night

I was planning to attend the Yolo Taxpayers Association meeting on Wednesday regarding the water ordinance. It starts at 7pm in the Leake Room.
The problem is that I am listed on the agenda as an "invited guest" by the Dunnigan Advisory Committee. I am not sure that I ever actually got an invitation but I am going to attend, answer whatever questions are posed, and then head to the Leake Room.

This is why I believe we will get the bike path

This letter from the Governor is exactly why I believe we will get the bike path between Woodland and Davis funded.
If we get it ready .... someone will knock this thing out of the park. The letter from the Governor spells out exactly why I think we will get it funded.
Read letter here in response to board letter asking to protect bicycle transportation money.

Jenn is not a real American

She is actually claiming to root for the Olympic athlete she thinks is the best person.
I'm all about the Americans winning as many as possible. If we can win all three medals then I want them all. The biggest dirt bag of an American could be up against Cinderella. I am rooting for the dirt bag. Jenn will go for the one "with the better attitude.
I never root for the Chinese.

Woodland Journal has photoshop

So I had the picture that was sent to me by a guy that knows photoshop. He was a spy.
The picture also went to the Realist. The Realist also knows photoshop.
I posted the picture until two things happened --
1) someone was doing a survey
2) my wife saw the picture of her and blasted me for letting other people see it. Bad hubby.
Anyway...the Realist has cropped Jenn out of it and added a few items......see his version here.
Note: If I would have posted a similar photo about a certain other elected official in Woodland I am sure that I would be getting nasty grams. Some people take themselves too seriously.

So today I was out driving around in the Elkhorn area and saw this guy in a green truck throwing garbage out of the back of his truck. Guess who it was.......

This picture will be used for black mail. Just like the picture of Yamada doing the hula hoop.
He just looks guilty doesn't he?

Trash in the Elkhorn area

Ok. I actually didn't catch Duane throwing trash out of his truck. That picture just turned out way better than I had hoped.
Duane and I were out hunting trash on Friday afternoon. I am working on an effort to get rid of some of the large amounts of trash in the rural parts of my district. It is pretty bad.
Duane of course knew where it all was.
His business was out there in the Elkhorn area going full steam so I got a lesson on straw too. More later on trash and the plan to get it taken care of.
