Jail and Court Issues By Matt Rexroad on Friday, April 18, 2008 @ 8:43 AM :: 0 Comments :: Blog   The San Francisco Chronicle has an article today about some comments the Sheriff made to the Board of Supervisors on inmates being in the jail too long.  This is a big deal in Yolo County too. The courts are operated by the state.  The state corrections system in operated by the state.  When the courts take a long time to come to the conclusion on a trial the defendant sits in County Jail. Sometimes they sit there for years. This article describes the issue well.
