So just last week I was wondering what was going to happen to that teacher from Pioneer High School that was alleged to have sex with the student.

Today I saw this article in the newspaper from Luke.

I have two big issues with this.

First, I think it is terrible that she is going to be able to teach again. That is crazy.

Second, does anyone think this would have been the outcome if Ichord was male and the student was female? I think not.

When this "victim" in this case got his diploma from Pioneer High School a few weeks after this story broke he got a standing ovation. This is the way our society treats these sort of things. The young man is some kind of a hero, the teacher gets to teach again, and life rolls on.

If the genders were switched I bet someone would be sitting behind bars and people would have been whispering about the new graduate of Pioneer High and calling her names instead of clapping.

Tell me I am wrong.

Are we so backed up in the courts that we are just offering deals to clear up the court calendar?

I understand the need to offer plea bargins but not when it comes to our children.

You do something that involves a child then no deals should ever be an option.
