Yolo County spends a tremendous amount of money on mental health services. As I learn more and more about Yolo County government I discover how many different areas of Woodland that county government touches.
3B North is the behavioral health wing of Woodland Memorial Hospital. This morning I took a tour. It has capacity for twenty but due to the state mandated nursing ratios of 6:1 it only makes sense to have 18 clients in at one time.
The number of people that are 5150 (this is more than just a Van Halen album) is really amazing to me. This is something that health care providers must deal with every single day.
I could write a tremendous amount about the visit...but I need a few days to process all of the information. At this point, I am drowning in information on health care. |
