We are now on our way to the airport. Thank God. I am tired and miss Jenn, Abbie, and Adam.

Today I met with some folks from the White House. Actually, the meeting was in the Executive Office Building (EOB) next door. I had the opportunity to make my pitch about transportation money for the Sacramento region.

Then I had a couple business meetings with folks before Art Pimentel and I went to lunch. He even had control of his flag for about two minutes for me to take the picture above.

This trip was a good one. It is hard to judge the impact of the official meetings that we had. One of the true values of the trip was the chance to meet some of the people from local goverments in the region. To hear what happens in Yuba, Placer, Sacramento, Sutter, and El Dorado Counties was really interesting.

I hope to be able to come on this trip again next year if it works out...but I miss my family.
